Under AFRC protocols we simulate glass performance based on the Environmental Conditions of the outside being -18° Celsius and the inside being 21° Celsius.
Heat wants to go from where it is hot to where it is not, so in this set environment the 21° Celsius wants to escape to the colder outside and standard glass is by far the easiest pathway to do so in a building… unless you have high performance Double Glazing.
